How Sweet!

I was at the grocery store with Carter today, and as we were leaving this older gentleman stopped us. He asked if he could give me a compliment, and I obviously said yes. He leaned over to tell me that I was pretty, and I had a very cute son too. Wouldn't the world be great if everyone were like that. It was also great to know that he sounded like an educated african american. How great the life would be if it didn't know the bounds of racism, because if I were racist, I wouldn't have stayed to hear those sweet words from an awesome person who left just a couple of footprints in my life. With great thanks, we left, but the memory will stay.
